Nikolai Ostonal was born in Manila, and spent his childhood in Dubai. He studied Film at the University of Western Ontario where he made documentary and fiction films. He wrote the screenplay to a short film screened at the Festival De Cannes' SFC and he has published in The Rusty Toque. He is currently working on a book that has a lot of astronomy in it.

Leanne Milech writes fiction and creative non-fiction. Many moons ago, her flash fiction piece, 'Eat' , won the Writers’ Union of Canada’s postcard story competition and was featured on CBC Radio One’s The Sunday Edition. Her work has appeared in various Queen's University literary magazines as well as the now-defunct Other Voices Magazine. She is now able to partially escape her day job as a lawyer with the help of the MFA program at Guelph where she is currently working on her memoir.

Eufemia Fantetti is a graduate of The Writer’s Studio and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Guelph. She is a winner of Event Magazine’s Creative Nonfiction contest and a two-time finalist in the Canadian National Playwriting competition. Her short fiction collection, A Recipe for Disaster & Other Unlikely Tales of Love was released from Mother Tongue Publishing in November 2013.
